Blox Fruits Permanent Dragon Token Item Controversy
Update #2: Final Verdict
You will get a Dragon, even if you’ve already used up your tokens.
Case 1: If you’re an existing owner of a Dragon fruit:
-
- Permanent Owners: You can choose between one of two Dragon fruits (East or West).
-
- Physical Owners: You will get a randomly chosen Dragon fruit (East or West).
Case 2: If you own 2 or more Dragons:
Physical Owners: If you have extra Dragon fruits, you’ll receive bonus Physical Tokens. Since Dragon fruits are now rarer, we can’t release too many at once. Instead, we’re giving a fair reroll with a chance to get Dough, Venom, Gas, Leopard, Kitsune, or Dragon. Each has an equal chance of appearing.
Permanent Owners: Extra Dragons you have will be turned into tradable tokens. These tokens will become very valuable when they’re released on January 7th (the devs just need some time to work on the next Christmas fruit).
Update #1: During the early hours of the update
It’s been confirmed that you can’t get your Dragon Fruit back because the Permanent Dragon Token item will give you Flame and Dough fruits along with a few other items instead of Dragon rework. So the only option you have is to purchase the Dragon fruit once again by spending Robux or in-game credits.
It’s no secret that the new Dragon fruit rework is the replacement of Dragon Classic in Blox Fruits update 24. However, instead of offering the free replacement, the Blox Fruits developers have decided the fruit owners to grant a special item called Permanent Dragon Token which you can convert to get the following items in the game:
- Purchase the Dragon Rework at a discount
- Get Dough and Flame fruits in storage
- Obtain 2x Money, 2x Boss Drops, 2x Master, Fast Boats, +1 Fruit Storage and fragments.
- Receive Dark Blade, 2x Mythical Scrolls, 2x Legendary Scrolls and more fragments.
Blox Fruits has officially stated that players can keep the Dragon Fruit’s classic version for now if they don’t want to convert the Permanent Dragon Token. However, they have also added that the classic fruit will be removed in a future update. So in simple words, they’re forcing you to give up the old fruit and spend Robux or in-game credits once again to purchase the Dragon fruit.
Players Allegations
Someone who has already spent 2,400 Robux—roughly equivalent to 30 USD—will have to spend real money once again to purchase the same item in Blox Fruits. As a result, many players are disappointed by this unexpected move by the game developers and are asking for a refund.
In fact, a Discord user also stated that:
Don’t use your dragon tokens! In most countries, this is considered a serious crime because it’s false advertising. “Permanent” means it’s permanent, not temporary! Keep everything as evidence that you were scammed, and make sure to take screenshots. You’ll need them if you want to get your money or Robux back.
We haven’t received any official response from the Blox Fruits regarding the Permanent Dragon Token controversy as of writing this article. However, we’ll make sure to update this article once we have any official information.
